TLDR; Screenwriter lifetime deal bonus credits have been distributed, Magic Fiction Writer Lifetimes deal info for previous Bookifier lifetime deal holders

Hey everybody,

Two quick updates.

Number one:
If you bought the Screenwriter Lifetime Deal, then your bonus credits for buying the lifetime deal have now been applied to your Screenwriter account. 🎉

Also, big news here: Ryan is fixing a large bug in Magic Fiction Writer.

Ryan (who’s been doing a ton of the junior dev work across the new apps) will thenstart activating accounts for people who already had lifetime deals on Magic Bookifier.

So if you had a previous Magic Bookifier lifetime deal, your account will be activated for Magic Fiction Writer.

Now, before I explain how the accounts are activated and how many credits you get, I want to address something up front, because I know it’s coming:

Some people are going to say,
“Hey, why don’t we have exactly the same number of credits we had on Magic Bookifier?”

And the answer is: you have enough credits.
Everybody has enough credits.

If you’ve got a lifetime deal on Magic Bookifier, you already know you’ve got loads and loads of credits. You’re going to be fine. Trust me. You will be fine.

We’re not trying to short anybody. We’re just doing this in a clean, sane, sustainable way.

Here’s how the activations and credits work:

• If you had a Magic Bookifier lifetime deal, you’re getting a Magic Fiction Writer lifetime subscription
• Your tier carries over (Tier 1 → Tier 1, Tier 2 → Tier 2, Tier 3 → Tier 3)
• If you were one of the people who had a fourth tier App Sumo back in the day, you’ll get the top tier PLUS a one-time bonus of 1,000 credits
• That 1,000 credits is a one-time thing, not recurring

That’s the max. That’s us doing the best we can while keeping everything fair and workable.

Also important: if your Magic Bookifier account had weird doubling or stacking or legacy quirks — we’re not reproducing all of that. We’re matching tiers cleanly and moving forward.

One more thing on Screenwriter bonuses

Anyone who bought a Screenplay Writer lifetime deal during the launch window already got their extra bonus credits, based on the tier they purchased. Those are applied. That part is done.

So the short version:

• Big bug fixing
• Bonus credits applied
• Lifetime accounts being activated
• Tiers carried over
• Everyone has enough credits
• Nobody is getting screwed

Ryan will be activating accounts as this rolls out, so if you don’t see it instantly, don’t panic — it’s coming.

Alright. That’s it.
Back to building cool stuff.
