Hey everybody,

I have some good news.

Magic Writing Coach is now scheduled to launch in September — much earlier than we originally expected.

I’ve been able to make a lot of progress on it recently, and it has grown into something much more ambitious than the original Writing Coach inside Magic Bookifier.

If you used that original Writing Coach, you may remember the basic idea: answer questions about your book, and use those answers to help build a draft.

Magic Writing Coach takes that idea much, much further.

The biggest difference is that the interview itself is now automatic.

You can sit down, have the Writing Coach speak its questions out loud to you, and simply answer naturally. It feels much more like sitting across from a ghostwriter who is interviewing you about your book.

You don't have to sit there figuring out prompts or staring at a blank page.

You talk. It asks the next question. And the book starts taking shape.

The basic process is:

Idea → Interview → Book Plan → Chapter Interviews → First Draft

A few of the things Magic Writing Coach can do:

  • Interview you out loud. Answer naturally by speaking, or type when you prefer.

  • Build an editable chapter-by-chapter plan from your interview and any existing notes, transcripts, essays, or drafts you give it.

  • Interview you separately for every chapter, digging for the stories, examples, reasoning, and details needed to actually write it.

  • Keep the conversation focused. It tracks how completely each interview has covered its goal and changes its questions when it detects something important is still missing.

  • Write in your voice. Describe your writing style or give it a sample of your own writing, and it uses that style when producing the manuscript.

  • Draft individual chapters or the entire book, while keeping track of what has already been said so chapters don't keep repeating the same stories and ideas.

  • Stop and come back whenever you want. Your interviews save as you go, so you can pick up exactly where you left off.

The part I’m most excited about is still the simplest way to describe it:

You can sit down for an interview about the book in your head and come out of the process with a structured first draft.

That is what I always wanted the original Writing Coach idea to become.

Now it is becoming its own application.

Magic Writing Coach is coming in September 2026.

More soon.

Write docs 4x faster. Without hating every second.

Nobody became a developer to write documentation. But the docs still need to get written — PRDs, README updates, architecture decisions, onboarding guides.

Wispr Flow lets you talk through it instead. Speak naturally about what the code does, how it works, and why you built it that way. Flow formats everything into clean, professional text you can paste into Notion, Confluence, or GitHub.

Used by engineering teams at OpenAI, Vercel, and Clay. 89% of messages sent with zero edits. Works system-wide on Mac, Windows, and iPhone.
